Art Therapy in Psychological Rehabilitation of War-Induced Trauma in Children and Adolescents: Analysis of Ethical Considerations in Medical Ethics

Abstract

Art therapy is a promising approach for the psychological rehabilitation of children and adolescents affected by war. International studies indicate that art-based interventions can reduce trauma-related symptoms, improve emotional expression, and enhance resilience. Ethical considerations, including informed consent, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and prevention of re-traumatization, are essential for implementing these interventions. This paper analyzes these ethical considerations and proposes practical recommendations based on international evidence and the Iranian context.
